Seplat, NLNG, NNPC, Renaissance, Oando Among Big Winners at NOG Energy Week Awards

The NOG Energy Week 2025 concluded with excitement and celebration as leading companies and individuals in Nigeria’s oil and gas industry received prestigious awards. The event, which was primarily sponsored by the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPC Ltd), brought together key stakeholders, executives, and policymakers, including the Ministers of State for Petroleum and Gas.

Throughout the week, participants engaged in panel discussions and presentations that addressed critical issues affecting the energy sector. The final day focused on recognising excellence, innovation, and outstanding contributions across various categories.

The award for Best Exhibitor Stand was presented to Nigeria LNG Limited (NLNG). Dr. Sophia Horsfall, General Manager of External Relations at NLNG, received the honour on behalf of the company.

PANA Holdings earned the award for Best Exhibition Stand, which highlighted exceptional capability in Nigeria’s energy sector.

Oando Clean Energy was honoured with the 2025 Sustainability Energy Award for its groundbreaking initiatives supporting the decarbonisation of the energy industry.

First Exploration & Petroleum Development Company (First E&P) received the Operational Excellence Award. This category recognises companies that have demonstrated outstanding performance in improving efficiency, reducing costs, and enhancing sustainability.

The Women in Leadership Award was presented to Audrey Joe-Ezigbo, Vice President of Falcon Corporation. The award celebrates female leaders whose vision and influence have made a significant impact within the energy space.

Seplat Energy Plc was named Indigenous Company of the Year. The award recognised Seplat’s achievements over the past 12 months in innovation, strategic activity, and knowledge-driven contributions that have positively transformed the oil and gas landscape.

Coleman Cables and Wires received the Nigerian Content Contribution Award. This honour goes to an organisation that has consistently promoted local capacity development and value creation in line with the Nigerian Oil and Gas Industry Content Development (NOGIC) Act.

The Rising Star of the Year Award went to Kayode Adebulugbe of Green Energy International Limited. The award celebrates a promising individual who has demonstrated exceptional growth and leadership potential in the industry.

NNPC Limited was recognised with the Equality in Energy Award. This award acknowledges organisations that have shown excellence in promoting diversity, inclusion, and equal opportunity within the energy sector.

Renaissance Africa Energy received the NOG Energy Excellence Award. This recognition is given to a company that has achieved a major technical or commercial milestone that significantly benefited Nigeria’s oil and gas industry while upholding exemplary standards.

Odiri Umusu, Director of DMG Events, expressed appreciation to all sponsors and exhibitors for their unwavering support and active participation in making the international oil and gas event a success.

Speaking on behalf of the Group Chief Executive Officer of NNPC Ltd, Sophia Mbakwe, Executive Vice President of Business Services, extended gratitude to all attendees, sponsors, and partners. She also thanked DMG Events and the two Ministers of State for Petroleum and Gas for their committed presence throughout the event. Mbakwe closed her remarks by calling for continued collaboration and innovation in future editions of NOG Energy Week.
