Rivers reads Riot Act to Petrol Station Outlet Owners over Price Hike

As the hike of Price of Petrol Per liter bites in Rivers State, the State Commissioner of Energy and Natural Resources Engineer Uchechukwu  Nwafor, has cautioned Petrol Station outlets Selling above Pump Price in Rivers State to desist from taking undue advantage of motorists  and the Citizens or face Sanction.

The State Commissioner of Energy and Natural Resources Engineer Uchechukwu Nwafor while on surveillance to petrol station outlets around Rumuolumeni  axis of the State, said his team will not relent in identifying and sanctioning Petrol outlets found culpable of selling way above the stipulated pump price.

He said operators of such outlets caught will be made to give a Clear explanation as to how they sourced their Products or be sanctioned.

Nwafor appealed to the public on the situation, which he said is allegedly due to inadequate supply on the part of the Nigerian Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority (NMDPRA).
