NUPRC Sets Deadline for 2025 Licensing Round Bid Submissions

The Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission (Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission) has announced that submission of technical and commercial bids by pre-qualified applicants for the 2025 Licensing Round will close on Friday, June 12, 2026, at 16:30 hours (WAT), in line with the Licensing Round Guidelines.

The Commission had earlier completed the pre-qualification stage of the 2025 Licensing Round on March 16, 2026, and duly notified successful applicants. It subsequently informed them that, effective March 17, 2026, pre-qualified bidders would be allowed to lease data from approved sources in preparation for their technical and commercial bid submissions. Applicants were required to obtain data strictly from the designated sources and upload evidence of payment as a prerequisite for participation in the bidding process.

With the process now advancing, the Commission has fixed June 12, 2026, as the deadline for submission of both technical and commercial bids by all pre-qualified applicants.

“The NUPRC hereby notifies the general public that submission of technical and commercial bids by prequalified applicants for the 2025 Licensing Round closes on Friday, June 12, 2026 at 16.30 hours (WAT) in line with the 2025 Licensing Round Guidelines,” NUPRC said in a statement shared on its socials on Tuesday.
