NUPRC, NRS Forge Stronger Partnership to Boost Oil and Gas Revenue Collection
According to a statement by Eniola Akinkuotu, Head, Media and Strategic Communication, the development followed a meeting on Monday between NUPRC Chief Executive, Mrs. Oritsemeyiwa Eyesan, and NRS Chairman, Mr. Zacc Adedeji, at the NRS corporate headquarters in Abuja.
Eyesan’s visit formed part of her ongoing engagement with key stakeholders after assuming office as NUPRC Chief Executive last month.
With new tax laws taking effect on January 1, 2026, both agencies emphasized the need for closer collaboration in the collection of oil and gas revenues. During the meeting, they pledged to coordinate efforts more effectively to ensure that government revenue targets are met.
“Based on the new tax laws that came into effect on January 1, 2026, the NRS and the NUPRC are expected to collaborate more closely in the collection of oil and gas revenues,” the statement read.
