Our client is a reputable oil services company supporting upstream and midstream operations across Nigeria’s energy landscape. As the organization continues to grow and enhance operational efficiency, they seek a detail-driven Financial Controller to lead core financial operations with a focus on leveraging systems for accuracy, control, and scalability.

Responsibilities

• Oversee monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes.

• Ensure timely preparation of accurate financial and management reports.

• Maintain the integrity of the general ledger and chart of accounts.

• Ensure compliance with IFRS, local tax laws, and internal accounting policies.

• Lead the optimization and ongoing configuration of ERP financial modules (GL, AP, AR, Fixed Assets, etc.).

• Serve as the finance lead on system-related projects, including UAT, training, and change management.

• Support the CFO in the annual and mid-year budget planning processes.

• Conduct variance analysis, cost tracking, and financial modelling to provide insights for decision support.

• Design, implement, and monitor internal controls over financial transactions.

Qualification & Experience

• B.Sc./M.Sc. in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, or related field.

• Professional certification: ACA, ACCA, or CPA required.

• PMP or ERP certification (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics, SAP FI/CO) is an advantage.

• 7–10 years of finance experience, with at least 3 years in a senior financial leadership role.

• Proven experience managing ERP implementations or finance system upgrades.

• Strong understanding of system-based workflows, automation, and reporting tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
