Our client is a reputable oil services company supporting upstream and midstream operations across Nigeria’s energy landscape. As the organization continues to grow and enhance operational efficiency, they seek a detail-driven Financial Controller to lead core financial operations with a focus on leveraging systems for accuracy, control, and scalability.
Responsibilities

Oversee monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes.

Ensure timely preparation of accurate financial and management reports.

Maintain the integrity of the general ledger and chart of accounts.

Ensure compliance with IFRS, local tax laws, and internal accounting policies.

Lead the optimization and ongoing configuration of ERP financial modules (GL, AP, AR, Fixed Assets, etc.).

Serve as the finance lead on system-related projects, including UAT, training, and change management.

Support the CFO in the annual and mid-year budget planning processes.

Conduct variance analysis, cost tracking, and financial modelling to provide insights for decision support.

Design, implement, and monitor internal controls over financial transactions.
Qualification & Experience

B.Sc./M.Sc. in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, or related field.

Professional certification: ACA, ACCA, or CPA required.

PMP or ERP certification (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics, SAP FI/CO) is an advantage.

7–10 years of finance experience, with at least 3 years in a senior financial leadership role.

Proven experience managing ERP implementations or finance system upgrades.

Strong understanding of system-based workflows, automation, and reporting tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
