JMG Limited Marks World Clean-Up Day with Action for a Cleaner, Greener Future
Lagos, Nigeria – September 20, 2025 – JMG Limited, a leading provider of integrated electromechanical solutions in Nigeria, joined millions of volunteers worldwide to celebrate World Clean-Up Day 2025, taking its sustainability message to the streets of Gbagada, Lagos.
Top executives and staff rolled up their sleeves, swapping office suits for gloves and waste bags, as they cleared plastics and solid waste from the community where the company’s largest workforce operates.
The exercise went beyond sanitation, encouraging residents and staff to embrace recycling, separate waste responsibly, and take shared ownership in creating a cleaner, healthier environment.

A Global Call to Action: Textile and Fashion Waste
Themed “Textile and Fashion Waste,” this year’s World Clean-Up Day highlighted one of the fastest-growing environmental challenges. With 92 million tons of textile waste generated annually, the problem is overwhelming global waste systems, polluting waterways, and worsening the climate crisis.
JMG’s Leadership in Sustainability
Speaking at the event, Group General Manager of JMG Limited, Rabi Jammal, reaffirmed the company’s commitment to environmental stewardship.
“At JMG, sustainability is part of our DNA. Clearing waste in our host community is not just a responsibility; it is a core value. We are proud to actively participate in raising awareness about a cleaner, safer, and greener environment,” Jammal said.
He also noted that sustainability practices are embedded in the company’s ISO certification and reflected in its clean energy solutions, including the installation of solar power at its headquarters to cut carbon emissions.
Driving Awareness and Impact
JMG’s Quality, Health, Safety and Environment Manager, Benedict Odamah, added that the exercise would have a lasting impact on employees and residents alike.
“This initiative empowers our people to be active participants in environmental preservation, while also enlightening our host community on sustainability and proper recycling,” Odamah explained.
He pointed to JMG’s waste segregation hub, where materials are sorted at source for recycling, and the company’s ongoing investment in solar solutions as proof of its ecological commitment.
Giving Back to Communities
Highlighting JMG’s community engagement, Marketing Executive, Goke Atiba, recalled the company’s donation of solar panels and inverters to power Primary Healthcare Centres across Lagos State.
A resident, Kayode Adebayo, praised the initiative:
“Seeing JMG roll up its sleeves to clean the environment where they do business shows they genuinely care. It gives us hope that together we can make a real difference.”
Clean Energy Expertise
JMG continues to expand its clean energy portfolio, offering solar and hybrid power solutions since 2018. The company has introduced Lithion inverters and batteries (2018), Livfast inverters and batteries (2022), LONGi solar panels, Deye lithium batteries, and Must solar inverters (2024) to deliver cost-effective and sustainable alternatives for customers.
