German Ambassador to speak at 2026 NOG Energy Week
Germany’s Ambassador to Nigeria and ECOWAS, Annett Günther, is expected to feature as a key speaker at the 2026 edition of NOG Energy Week 2026, scheduled to hold from July 5 to 9 in Abuja.
The event, which will take place at the Bola Ahmed Tinubu International Conference Centre, will bring together policymakers, industry leaders, and energy experts to discuss the future of Nigeria’s oil, gas, and power sectors amid global shifts in energy security, decarbonisation, and technological innovation.
With the theme “Advancing Energy Ambitions for Competitive & Resilient Economies,” the conference is expected to focus on gas monetisation, digital transformation, investment frameworks, and decentralised energy systems as Nigeria seeks to strengthen energy access and economic competitiveness.
Organisers say the gathering will also highlight the role of emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence in improving production efficiency and asset management across the energy value chain.
The 2026 edition comes as Nigeria and other energy-producing nations face increasing pressure to balance fossil fuel development with climate commitments while attracting sustainable investment into the sector.
