Diamond Offshore awarded drillships contract for Woodside’s Senegal operations

According to Diamond Offshores’ fleet status report published today, both 2014 built drillships are contracted by Woodside.

Ocean Blackhawk will be working in Senegal from 1Q 2022 till 1Q 2023 on a well based contract + options. Day rate is not disclosed by the offshore drilling contractor. At the moment Rig is contracted with Anadarko for US GOM campaign at Day Rate of U$ 495,000. Contract was started in mid Jun 2014 and ends mid Apr 2020, with Special Survey & upgrades at zero rate planned for Mar – Jun 2019.

Ocean BlackRhino will be working for Woodside in Senegal from 4Q 2020 till 4Q 2023 on a Well based contract + options. Day rate is not disclosed by the offshore drilling contractor. Rig is currently working for Hess in US GOM Hess at day rate of U$ 400,000. BlackRhino was initially hired on 3 Year Term starting in mid Feb 2017 and this existing contract ends in late May 2020, Special Survey at zero rate planned for 2H 2019
