Cainergy Group appoints Ritchie Wingo as its New GCOO

Cainery Group, an oil and gas service company, founded in Dubai, UAE and incorporated in Nigeria, has appointed Ritchie Wingo as its new Group Chief Operating Officer.

Wingo will lead operations across all the company’s subsidiaries, including Cainergy International Limited, Subdrill, Cainergy Downstream, Cainergy Construction, and Data Ex Global.

For nearly 15 years, Wingo has been a prominent figure in the oil and gas industry, particularly in West Africa.

He has amassed a wealth of experience and expertise in the region’s energy landscape having held roles at Ascot Africa and PWC, where he served as Director of Projects, Process Improvement, and Director of Oil and Gas, respectively.

His track record includes successful collaborations with numerous Indigenous oil and gas companies in West Africa.

“With nearly 15 years of experience in the Oil and Gas Industry, especially in West Africa, and over 25 years mastering information technology, Ritchie Wingo is a seasoned profes- sional. His impressive track record includes successful collaborations with various Indigenous Oil and Gas Com- panies in the region.

Having arrived in Nigeria in 2009, Ritchie has held significant roles at Ascot Africa and PWC, where he served as Director of Projects, Process Improvement, and Director of Oil and Gas, respectively. His journey reflects a commitment to excellence and innovation in the industry.

With three offices in Nigeria, one each in Ghana and Australia, Cainergy Group, since 2015 has come to be recognised as a choice service provider for the oil and gas and energy industries globally.

Within 5 years, the company has successfully delivered 40+ projects across various regions and terrains both offshore and onshore across the value chain from upstream to midstream and downstream.

Not too long ago, the company im- plemented Computerized Mainte- nance Management System (CMMS) at OML 40 for NNPCL/Elcrest. This marks a transformative milestone in the efficient management of physical assets and maintenance operations.

Since the initiation of the CMMS project in 2021, Cainergy has consistently delivered daily preventive maintenance support services, leveraging the robust features of the system. Key aspects of the CMMS implementation include inventory and spare parts tracking, detailed work order and maintenance task management, maintenance cost and budget tracking, as well as report and analyt- ics generation.

Also recently, the Ohaji South Re- mote Oil Manifold Expansion Project was successfully completed through a collaborative venture between Cainergy/H&W Energy and Seplat.
