Aradel Strengthens Safety Framework with ISO 45001:2018 Certification
Aradel Holdings Plc has secured the ISO 45001:2018 certification for its Occupational Health and Safety Management System, marking a significant step in reinforcing its commitment to workplace safety and operational excellence.
ISO 45001:2018 is a globally recognised benchmark that outlines the requirements for establishing and maintaining an effective occupational health and safety management system. The standard provides organisations with a structured framework to identify workplace hazards, assess and mitigate risks, and continuously enhance safety performance. It sets clear guidelines for policy formulation, objective setting, planning, operational control, auditing, management review, and regulatory compliance.
The certification underscores key principles such as strong leadership involvement, active worker participation, thorough hazard identification and risk assessment, emergency preparedness, incident investigation, and a culture of continual improvement.
This achievement adds to Aradel’s existing portfolio of international certifications, including ISO 14001:2015 for Environmental Management Systems and ISO 9001:2015 for Quality Management Systems. Together, these certifications reflect the company’s integrated approach to sustainability, quality assurance, and health and safety management.
The ISO 45001:2018 certificate was formally presented to the company on February 19, 2026, at its Lagos headquarters by CoreQuality CB Ltd. The recognition followed a comprehensive independent audit of Aradel’s occupational health and safety systems, aimed at verifying compliance, addressing identified gaps, and strengthening safeguards for employees and stakeholders.
Speaking on the milestone, the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Aradel, Adegbite Falade, emphasised that safety remains central to the company’s operations.
He stated that the certification reflects Aradel’s unwavering dedication to international best practices and continuous improvement, noting that workplace health and safety are deeply embedded across the organisation’s processes and long-term value strategy.
